Helena Lazar is taking on a new role of EVP, managing director, at King Ursa.
Most recently, Lazar was a business development consultant for King Ursa, which counts among its clients Bimbo Canada, Timberland and Zabiha.
Before joining King Ursa in January of 2024, Lazar served as SVP and brand director at Publicis Canada and worked with that agency for 24 years.
Her experience ranges from packaged goods and financial to retail and public service organizations supporting clients such as Nestlé, Nestlé-Purina, Fidelity, Canada Post, The Home Depot, Metro Grocery, Kids Help Phone and the Heart and Stroke Foundation. She has also worked with government agencies like the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care and the City of Toronto.
She provided strategic oversight and brand guidance for City of Toronto, TTC and Dairy Queen Canada. Key initiatives included developing social change initiatives like recycling for the City of Toronto, building brand confidence for the TTC and driving brand preference for DQ through CRM and social content.
Lazar started her career as an account director with Young & Rubicam (a division of WPP), responsible for strategic direction and integrated campaign development for Kraft Canada (Jell-O, Kool-Aid and Jacob Suchard), Colgate-Palmolive and Danone.
