The state of Kentucky offers a waiver of tuition as an education benefit for children, stepchildren, spouses, and un-remarried widows & widowers; in recognition of the honorable service and sacrifice of eligible Kentucky veterans. If you are a veteran with a service-connected disability rating of 10% or higher you may be eligible for the Chapter 31, VR&E benefit. See below for more information.

VA Chapter 31, Veteran Readiness & Employment (VR&E) Benefit
If you have a service-connected disability; an impairment of an ability to prepare for, obtain, or retain employment consistent with a veteran's abilities, aptitudes, and interests, Veteran Readiness and Employment can help. This program—also known as Chapter 31 or VR&E—helps you explore employment options and address education or training needs. In some cases, your family members may also qualify for certain benefits.
