We filled the beds with cardboard, then stumps, then got shredded wood chip (or use plant matter like sticks) then we filled the top 12-18in with soil using scoops of the Sutherlands mixed compost/bed soil! (Do not mix wood chip & soil-LAYER them) Waaay cheaper! Do not do bags of soil haha.
