PhoneBox offered fair trade-in prices through a comparison site. Their website was easy to navigate, and I quickly got a price estimate pending inspection. I requested a postage pack, which included secure packaging and a tracked 24-hour label, through insurance was limited to £100, so I opted for Royal Mail Special Delivery for extra coverage. I received updates throughout and within 48 working hours of receipt, payment was sent to my bank. Overall, a smooth process I'd use them again, :)

Absolutely disgusting service. I sent my phone on 07/03/25, which was received on 10/03/25. It took until 12/03/25 for them to inspect my device and they knocked the price down by £103. To save mucking around, I accepted their offer and I have yet to receive my money. I have attempted to call them using the number on their website multiple times, yet it always seems dead…not even a dialling tone, unless you call outside of opening hours, where you will be greeted with an automated message telling you to call back during opening hours. I have also emailed, but received no reply. Avoid like the plague!

I sent my wife's phone to Fonehouse for a trade-in, originally quoted £125. Instead, I was suddenly offered just £22, with the revised offer email landing in my spam folder—while all other communication went to my inbox. This felt misleading, and I wasn’t given a fair chance to respond. Now, I’m struggling to get the phone back. Poor communication and an unfair valuation process. Would not recommend!

Terrible service. Ordered a new phone for my wifes birthday. I made a mistake when filling tbe order form in, my phone auto filled the wrong address as we'd just moved house. This became apparent when I was asked by their team to provide ID for security purposes and my ID had the wrong address on it. Very quickly resolved as I provided the correct address where we lived and the order at thjs point was accepted. When the invoice came through it still had the wrong address on it so I questioned it and asked them to confirm my correct address j had provided. At this point (after a 2 day wait as they only communicate by email) I was told I was not dealing with customer service and I should contact customer service. At this point the order had been shipped. I received "proof of delivery" which was a picture of a delivery driver holding an envelope in his hand outside my old address. My old address was rented and the landlord works overseas. My belief is that this phone is sitting on the floor of this old house that I can't get access to, and dont know when I will be able to. EE store claim that this is my problem as I provided the wrong address and refuse to acknowledge that there was anything they could have done, even though my address was changed before the order was processed. They are just like a brick wall and there is no reasoning with them. To find out that EE store and EE are two different businesses is a joke. To find thaf a company that sells communication devices can't communicate is equally laughable. Dont ever use this company. Looking at other reviews here, I'm clearly not on my own here

I had ordered a fridge freezer through the website and using the chat function which seemed fine. however, the unit was delivered unexpectedly before 7.30am to a student rental, so obviously no one answered ! (I was only notified the day before which I missed). I noted that I wasn't allowed to change the delivery time. they failed to remove the old f/f and also left the new one unwrapped in the middle of the kitchen . - supposed to have been installed. When I did complain and asked them to check the transcript, they just said , sorry but nothing they could be done now. So basically, aftercare service is shockingly unhelpful.
