MEDIA COVERAGE
The UTEP Athletic Communications office assists members of the media with their coverage of the University’s NCAA sanctioned athletic programs through internal avenues (website, social media, etc.), by coordinating interviews and providing feature ideas, notes, statistics and any other information needed.
CREDENTIALS
To request credentials for UTEP Athletics events, please contact the appropriate member of the communications services department via email. Credentials can be mailed upon request or picked up in person with proper identification at the Athletics Communications office.
INTERVIEW POLICY
All interviews with UTEP student-athletes and coaches are to be arranged at least 24 hours in advance by contacting the UTEP Athletic Communications office. Contact information (i.e., cell phone numbers) for student-athletes and coaches WILL NOT be provided to the media. Media outlets are NOT permitted to contact any UTEP student-athlete/coach/support staff by cell phone or through social media avenues in an effort to get information or interviews.
PRACTICE COVERAGE
Questions pertaining to practice schedules and specific media information regarding coverage may be directed to the UTEP Athletic Communications office, specifically the contact for each individual program.

When referencing The University of Texas at El Paso Athletics, please use the acronym "UTEP" and the nickname "MINERS." Please refrain from using UT-El Paso, Texas-El Paso, UT-EP, Lady Miners or any other variation.
