In today’s world, Knowledge Management is considered as a key to organizational growth and competitiveness. This study aim was to investigate the perception of teachers about main factors affecting the teaching learning process in adopting and applying Knowledge Management. The main objectives of the study were (i) to explore the existing Knowledge Management Practices of teachers in International Islamic University Islamabad (ii) to find out the difficulties regarding knowledge management and (iii) to examine the factors affecting the application of Knowledge Management Practices in improving the performance of teachers. Qualitative method was used as mode of inquiry. Data was collected through an Interview guide. Concurrent exploratory design was used in the study while collecting and analyzing data. Qualitative data was analyzed through content analysis and percentage.
Knowledge management is looking for determining the required information through storing, developing, spreading and functioning for achieving the main goals of the institution, besides contributing in achieving fundamental administration tasks that appears through the ability of setting plans, taking decisions along with problem solving. Therefore, this research is aiming to find out the most important obstacles regarding knowledge management application in the public education primary phase in Saudi Arabia (SA), furthermore, Bishah province is the research case study and it was applied on educational supervisors. The importance of this study lies in searching for an important field in order to contribute in producing human wealth for each community, this turned out to be the educational field, but there is a huge lack in knowledge management application search in the educational field especially in the primary phase. Through searching the educational supervisors point of view which is considered the backbone for their work about knowledge management, they transfer and organize experience in the educational field. This study used the survey descriptive search methodology for solving the proposed issue. The study found out that educational supervisor’s confidence was large in knowledge management as an administrative and supervising method, which indicates that they are totally convinced by knowledge management importance within the education system. Furthermore, they truly believed in themselves along with their capability regarding application. Moreover, it has been found that technology skills lack in those who belong to the educational field is considered the main obstacle in front of knowledge management application. Also the administration bodies in education ministry are not interested in administrational and educational experience in general and knowledge management in particular, which is considered as one of the main obstacles regarding knowledge management in primary schools in Bishah province. This research showed that there is failure regarding knowledge management application, besides lack of the educational programs that are being taught to the educational supervisors during their academic learning period and after it.

Nowadays managing knowledge has become challenging task for management. The main objective of this research is to study the problems and difficulties in implementing knowledge management practices in private engineering colleges in and around Chennai. Although, knowledge management has been widely discussed by many academics and practisers, there is relatively little information only available on problems and difficulties faced by management in implementing knowledge management practices. The paper aimed at examining the problems and difficulties in implementing knowledge management practices related to demographical characters of employees in education sector. In this study questionnaire were issued out conveniently to professors in private engineering colleges in and around Chennai. Out of 150 copies of questionnaire administered, 132 were collected and analyzed. SPSS software was used to analyze and interpret the questionnaire. Weighted average and ANOVA are used to prove and disapprove the hypothesis.
This paper investigated the application and benefits of knowledge management by teachers in Nigeria. A number of objectives were formulated for the study in order to determine the level of application of knowledge management by experienced and less experienced teachers in secondary schools in Nigeria, the benefits of application of knowledge management by teachers, factors militating against the application of knowledge management by teachers in Nigeria. A structured questionnaire survey was used as instrument for data collection. The questionnaire consisted of four sections. The population comprised 283 teachers. The sample of the study was the 283 (census sampling) and 244 returned copies were fit for analysis. Descriptive survey research design was adopted for the study. The major findings of this research are: The level of application of knowledge management by experienced and less experienced teachers in secondary schools in Nigeria is high,, teachers agreed to all benefits listed in the questionnaire. The study identified the following militating factors against the application of knowledge management by teachers in secondary schools: improper selection of knowledge management team to lack of budget for knowledge management project among others. Finally, the level of application of knowledge management by experienced and less experienced teachers in secondary schools does not differ significantly based on their work experience. It was concluded that the deliberate introduction of knowledge management in all categories of schools is very important. To this very end, it was recommended that School authorities should have an open door policy of knowledge management in order to boost the level of knowledge sharing and knowledge sharing behaviour among other recommendations.
Knowledge is an important factor in current global environment and business competitiveness. It is also considered to be the highly valuable asset for an organization in future. Moreover, knowledge is a kind of intangible and it is difficult to measure and transfer. Therefore, management of knowledge becomes an important issue, and knowledge becomes a key factor for success of a firm. Consequently, evaluating the performance of Knowledge Management is becoming increasingly significant, as it fosters strategic organizational learning and provides the solutions to become competitive and introduces the capabilities required to meet customer needs. Most of the respondents agreed on the importance of knowledge management. Different people from various departments gave their input and helped in understanding the current flaws of the system in education, and also provided some valuable suggestions regarding use of knowledge management for improvement of system and standard of education.

The aim of this study was to investigate the knowledge management practices among academicians that focus on higher education and school organization. This paper focused on MARA organizations and Bahagian Teknologi Pendidikan Negeri (BTPN) Selangor. The study looked at the activities and programs conducted in both organizations in implementing knowledge management in their respective organizations. The study methodology using qualitative that was conducted by interviewing academicians consisting of lecturers, teachers and those who have more than 10 year experiences in the academic field as well as observation and documents review. The results showed that the practice of knowledge management, knowledge management tools and techniques and the sharing of knowledge that run between the two organizations through the comparison that has been made.

Research is progressing effectively in exercises of knowledge management by several Global Universities. Presently there is need in educational field to increase the intellectual power available in institution for sharing experiences. Knowledge management has excellent potential in educational sector and should have greater significance.
