The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality's (AHRQ) mission is to produce evidence to make health care safer, higher quality, more accessible, equitable, and affordable, and to work within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and with other partners to make sure that the evidence is understood and used. AHRQ priorities are described.

AHRQ Policy on Nondiscrimination

AHRQ will not tolerate discrimination or harassment on the basis of that individual’s race, color, religion, pregnancy, sex, gender (including gender identity and sexual orientation), national origin, age, disability, genetic information, retaliation for opposing discriminatory practices, or participating in the discrimination complaint process. These efforts are consistent with Executive Order 13988, Preventing and Combatting Discrimination on the Basis of Gender Identity or Sexual Orientation, and all other federal civil rights laws, regulations, and Executive Orders addressing equal opportunity in the Agency’s activities.
