Alverno College Web Accessibility Statement 

Alverno College is committed to improving and consistently monitoring the accessibility and usability of its website, www.alverno.edu, (the "Website"), ensuring that our Website services and content are accessible to persons with disabilities including, but not limited to users of screen reader technology. To accomplish this, Alverno partnered with web accessibility consultants to implement technology and accessibility report monitoring that will enable and maintain accessibility as the college meets its non-discrimination obligations under Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA), the Amendments Act of 2008, and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended.

The initial accessibility work has been completed and remediation has been applied. We will continue to strive to meet the standards of the World Wide Web Consortium's (W3C's), Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Level AA, and the Web Accessibility Initiative Accessible Rich Internet Applications Suite (WAI-ARIA) 1.0 for web content.

Alverno College will continue to monitor the Website and make accessibility updates when needed. Users can "Enable Accessibility" via the first keyboard focused input or select the Accessibility Menu icon in order to receive the accessibility enabled enhancements, ensuring equal access, to all features and functions.

Please note that our website may link to, or interface with, third party websites that we do not control. These third-party vendors may not have undertaken the efforts to comply with (WCAG) 2.0 Level AA standards. Our website informs users when they are about to leave the Alverno College website and prompts confirmation on whether you wish to be redirected to a third party controlled website.
