Our Mission. Our History.

Digital Learning & Innovation (DL&I) and its affiliated units—the Center for Teaching & Learning (CTL), Educational Technology (EdTech), and the Shipley Center—help Boston University leadership, faculty, and staff implement innovative ideas in digital education by incubating select pilot projects, and offer BU educators consultation, training, and production support in the areas of teaching, technology, and residential and online education.

Since its inception, DL&I has partnered with BU leadership, faculty, staff, and graduate student instructors from across the University to explore new technologies and pedagogies, cultivate innovative new experiments, and aid in the development of new residential, online, and hybrid programs.
