About this audiobook
From #1 New York Times bestselling author Jennifer L. Armentrout comes the next novel in her Blood and Ash series…
Is Love Stronger Than Vengeance?
A Betrayal…
Everything Poppy has ever believed in is a lie, including the man she was falling in love with. Thrust among those who see her as a symbol of a monstrous kingdom, she barely knows who she is without the veil of the Maiden. But what she does know is that nothing is as dangerous to her as him. The Dark One. The Prince of Atlantia. He wants her to fight him, and that’s one order she’s more than happy to obey. He may have taken her, but he will never have her.
A Choice….
Casteel Da’Neer is known by many names and many faces. His lies are as seductive as his touch. His truths as sensual as his bite. Poppy knows better than to trust him. He needs her alive, healthy, and whole to achieve his goals. But he’s the only way for her to get what she wants—to find her brother Ian and see for herself if he has become a soulless Ascended. Working with Casteel instead of against him presents its own risks. He still tempts her with every breath, offering up all she’s ever wanted. Casteel has plans for her. Ones that could expose her to unimaginable pleasure and unfathomable pain. Plans that will force her to look beyond everything she thought she knew about herself—about him. Plans that could bind their lives together in unexpected ways that neither kingdom is prepared for. And she’s far too reckless, too hungry, to resist the temptation.
A Secret…
But unrest has grown in Atlantia as they await the return of their Prince. Whispers of war have become stronger, and Poppy is at the very heart of it all. The King wants to use her to send a message. The Descenters want her dead. The wolven are growing more unpredictable. And as her abilities to feel pain and emotion begin to grow and strengthen, the Atlantians start to fear her. Dark secrets are at play, ones steeped in the blood-drenched sins of two kingdoms that would do anything to keep the truth hidden. But when the earth begins to shake, and the skies start to bleed, it may already be too late.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Wow! This was so good! Narrator was amazing as well. It had a Greek sense to it mixed with vampires and werewolf.

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Well, this doesn't make any sense. There's no plot, there's no twists. The only thing good is that it made me laugh

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I’m interested in where the plot is leading, but I hated the constant misunderstand/miscommunication trope. I’m not a fan of the trope but this book took it a step further by making it the main plot point until chapter 35 and even then not completely out of the book till chapter 40! It was infuriating! I like the last 5 chapters enough to read the next book, but only just.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I love the narrator. She does such a great job, thr story is riveting. I highly recommend if you're into series like ACOTAR or fourth wing
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Was a pretty good interesting plot. I had some moments of irritation with the main character but understandable given her circumstances. The main male character seems kind of an apparent role in the story but the story is hard to put down once the story reaches a third of the way in.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Oh my gods! This book is one of my favourite books I have read. Very much recommend & am excited for the next book in the series.
It's exciting and enthralling with a tad of romance and war. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Mmc is the perfect guy. I love a book about a girl getting everything she deserves
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Chapter 7.. like the first book, the first chapters of this book is really difficult to get into, the constant and repetitive questions from poppy is frustrating.. I do like Kieran he is funny but that is the only redeeming aspect of this book soo far..
Chapter 22.. Poppy’s convenient naivety and repetitive questions is frustrating, very annoying.. she keeps giving herself 1000s of unrealistic reasons to make irresponsible decisions.. i cannot listen to this book anymore.. Am done.. This book is not worth the time or frustration.. am going back to the usual omega and Alpha fantasies..
I must admit, the story is intriguing, so much possibilities, funny moments.. the writer has a brilliant mind and imagination but this narration is really not worth it.. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5It's is a Rollercoaster, and I love every minute of it
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Amazinggggg. I loved everything about this book. And it has spice which I love
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Loving this series!! The story is well done and I love that the main female character isn’t totally helpless.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Good book well written. Great love story. Cliffhanger and slow burn ?
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5It’s slowly getting better. The first book got much more interesting towards the end. This started out interesting, but now it’s mostly just the two main characters talking. I mean I guess it’s nice to finally get a better understanding of this “world”, but we get it - she wants to be “free”, she was the “maiden”, he “lied to her,” blah blah blah. It doesn’t stop her from having sleeping with him though. We know where it’s going. The plot is fairly predictable in that sense.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I am LOVING this series of books... I can't get enough!!!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5As always - a great read from this author. I highly recommend it.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Kept me on my toes every single step of the way!! This book has a beautiful rhythm that made it impossible to put down.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Even better battles and spicy moments than the first book! Definitely recommend.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5All the questions are starting to get answered. So much depth to the story line. Love the romance too
