He met his wife, Nicola, while they were both students at the Royal Veterinary College in London and worked in England as a veterinary surgeon for several years. He came to personal faith in Christ after witnessing his wife become a Christian and be healed of a crippling illness shortly after they returned to Ireland in 1991. In 2004 he accepted a call to ministry and now serves as the senior pastor of his home church, an assembly of the Apostolic Church UK and Ireland.
