After the war he received a Ba...view moreJoseph J. Trevino, M. D. grew up in South Texas, before World War 2. He saw service on the USS Louisville, a heavy cruiser, as a hospital apprentice. After the war he received a Bachelor of Science degree from A & I University, and taught school for two years. From 1951 to 1957 he studied medicine in Mexico City, Mexico, interned for one year at the Santa Rosa hospital in San Antonio, Texas following which he was awarded a Residency in Psychiatry. He has been a Psychiatrist for 50 years. He is the father of three sons, two of whom are also physicians.view less
