He has written this book, pre-Obama, to enlighten the public, on the plight of, "Black America". Since beginning this book in 2003, Mr. Wright has lived through, and seen the election of the first African-American president of the United States, by the former Illinois Sen. Barack Obama.
Mr. Wright, before Obama, had called for, "Change Now!" Mr. Wright himself, had to make serious changes in his life, or he would have not been able to write this short manifesto. In the span of this writing, we have seen the continual slide of African-America, although very few address the problems, which have plagued Blacks since being brought here, 500 years ago as slaves. Although Blacks are no longer slaves, the mentally of a great many Blacks, is that of a slave, or defeatist mentality. There are a whole lot of Blacks, living in the dark ages. All we have to do is look at the plight of urban America, and rural sections where Blacks live, to know we are basically going backwards.
We must not let the accomplishments, of a few successful, and super-rich Blacks, fool us in to believing that, the multitudes of dying, incarcerated, uneducated, and uncaring about anything, Blacks don't exsist. They exsist, and the cancer that is despair, is spreading at unprecedented rates. Mr. Wright hopes to open the eyes of those who need opening, and bringing about change for the next generation of aspiring, Presidents, and just plain business persons, that the more you know, the more valuable you become. The less you know, the more opportunity to be exploited by a racist, and biased society.
His main message for all is, "When we engage, and live in negative manners, there can be only one result," and that is, "NEGATIVE". Increasing our odds for success by, "Doing things the right way", "engage in positive mannerism, and ways", it isn't always 100% successful, but it does increase your odds for success. Read what is inside, and remember, if what is said doesn't apply to you, it does apply to many of your bretheren, so therefore, "Change must happen Now!"
