Storytelling, writing and performing p...view moreMy mother was a storyteller, with a background in acting and singing: her stories would have me on the edge of my seat, no matter how many times I heard them. Storytelling, writing and performing poetry, in my life, grew from there. It makes such a difference in our lives to tell our stories – to be listened to, and to listen to others. I began writing in late teens, letters home to my parents, initially. I discovered writing clarified my thoughts. Then, a delight in the music, in the sounds of the words, emerged; and I have been journal writing ever since.view less
