Drinking It Away - Chantal Aytes
Drinking it Away
This is a collection of poetry I found and began to sift through from
when I realized how much I love to write.
Writing mostly about my experiences and of course
from what all writers do, my observations.
It's not you, it's me
I sound like Hollywood when it's not you its really me
But if only you could take the time to believe me
Whenever I look up into your eyes, the rain falls down
Guilt takes me over, as angels hit the ground
I sound like Hollywood when they say love hurts
I don't think they had this in mind
Back in their time, yet wasting yours and mine
Cause I Can't ever get it straight
Except how to make your porcelain heart break
I act so Hollywood when I waltz away in tears
Dressed in my fears, drowning in beers
Worried about all the things I'll do, to drive you away
I can't get passed the why you chose me
When there are so many wonderful things
I act like Hollywood when I blow up anything in my path
Cause I have to act like an ass
So sorry it had to be you, the one that I love
The one that I hurt, the
