Policy Paper N°18 out now
Everyone is equal before the law - or are they?

How authorities and courts in the various federal states and municipalities in Germany decide on matters concerning individuals with a migration background depends significantly on regional political conditions and the political attitudes of the decision-makers. Identical matters from individuals with the same legal status are sometimes treated very differently when compared nationwide. More information is available in our latest Policy Paper (in German).

In_clusion & Diversity: In_equality magazine N° 7

Diversity and inclusion play an important role in the research projects of the Cluster of Excellence "The Politics of Inequality” at the University of Konstanz. For example, Christina Felfe de Ormeño investigates whether a diverse classroom automatically leads to more tolerance among students.

Other studies explore how the gender pay gap could be reduced or focus on gender-specific differences in the application process. The new In_equality magazine provides insight into the current research at the Cluster of Excellence.
