It was after she sat us down and we took off our hats, that we understood that we'd all been torn down the entire time.(less)

Sometimes in something simple: the way my cat moves, my dog shakes. The way I, myself, move. I'll change things up in my process: try to draw out the story (I'm a horrible artist). Try to sing it, write poetry about it. Sometimes telling the story to someone else will unlock it.

To me, writer's block is the brain hooked on something it wants to unlock, and I have to trick it into playing with the lock like a toy. Into PLAYING with it, rather than being frustrated.(less)
