This book starts with a conclusion and then tries to make the facts fit that conclusion. It doesn't work. I did like reading about the NY-area murders, but the idea that they're from the same person, let alone Jack the Ripper, is preposterous.

Jake Kern Thanks for the add! Definitely like your taste in reading. And anyone that loves Barry Ween is just...well...probably dangerous. But in a good way. :) Glad to be sharing bookshelves.

Matt Mazenauer Hey, hey, look who is #42 reviewer on GoodReads in the USA. I know a celebrity.

Matt Mazenauer Hey, I don't mind the prevalence of your 4-color funnies! Oh, crap. That probably means I'm not one of your "more literary" friends. *Goes back to reading Batman*

Rob McMonigal Anything actually posted here immediately belongs to Goodreads and can be used by them, per the TOS. So, if I took the time to do a long review, I do keep it to my LJ. I debate about that a lot, actually--not sure that I'm really all that concerned. *shrug*

Rob McMonigal I actually own more than one copy of Finn, because the introductions/afterwards are so varied. It started as a college paper and now is a bit of a hobby with me. Guess I need to review it for Goodreads at some point. :)

Catie Bloomfield Well I'm glad you approve of my reading list. Btw I adore Huck Finn.
