NSF PRIMES

Partnerships for Research Innovation in the Mathematical Sciences (PRIMES) is an NSF program allowing faculty from minority-serving institutions to attend programs at the mathematical institutes.

Any mathematician wishing to come to the Institute for Advanced Study through this program should first apply through the ordinary route for IAS Membership, noting on the application form that they are applying for PRIMES. In addition, they should notify mathapps@ias.edu that they are applying to PRIMES so that a list of PRIMES applicants can be sent to the faculty for the Member selection meeting.

If approved at the Member selection meeting, the IAS will support the PRIMES proposal. Applicants will be notified of the decision by January 1st.
