Scholarships and Grants
Financial aid is an integral part of the college and admission experience for virtually all students, and 99% of Judson students receive some form of financial aid. Our Financial Aid Team is always here to help you with finding and securing scholarships and grants.
Undergraduate Grants
Grants are gift assistance awarded on the basis of financial aid that does not require repayment. *Judson scholarships and grants are not guaranteed after May 1.
Federal Grants
FEDERAL PELL GRANT:
- PELL Grants are awarded only to undergraduate students who have not earned a bachelor’s or professional degree.
- If you’re eligible for a PELL Grant you’ll receive the full amount you qualify for.
- Each school participating in the program receives enough funds to pay the PELL amounts for all its eligible students.
- The amount of other student aid you may qualify for does not affect the amount of your PELL Grant.
- The maximum PELL Grant award for the 2023-2024 award year (July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024) is $7.395.
- You may receive only one PELL Grant in an award year, and you may not receive PELL Grant funds from more than one school at a time.
FEDERAL SUPPLEMENTAL EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITY GRANT (SEOG):
- SEOG is awarded to undergraduate students with exceptional financial need.
- The Judson maximum award amount is $600 a year.
- Each school participating in SEOG receives a certain amount of SEOG funds each year from the U.S. Department of Education. When all of those funds have been disbursed for that award year, no more SEOG awards can be made for that year.
State Grants
ILLINOIS MONETARY AWARD PROGRAM (MAP)
- MAP Grants are awarded to students who are residents of Illinois.
- Students with Expected Family Contributions less than $9,000 based on FAFSA are eligible to receive the MAP award.
- The Maximum MAP award for 2023-2024 is $8,400.
- Students must be registered for 15 hours to receive the full amount of MAP. Those registered for less than 15 hours receive a prorated amount.
