Mission

The mission of the North Dakota State Climate Office is to maintain the integrity of climate information for the economic and environmental benefit of North Dakota and the public safety of its citizens through climate monitoring, research, education, and extension and information services.

 

About

The North Dakota State Climate Office (NDSCO) is a part of the School of Natural Resource Sciences at the North Dakota State University. The State Climate Office is committed to serving the Northern Plains with thorough and accurate weather and climate information for use by the University, public and private institutions, government agencies, and citizens throughout the state. North Dakota’s robust climate history has uses in natural resource management, climate assessment, agriculture, education, research, and beyond. The purpose of the State Climate Office is to disseminate this information to users of North Dakota climate data from the agencies providing it in a detailed and factual manner.
