Vision
A proactive team that demonstrates the highest level of personal and professional excellence; leads by example; and develop confident Seabees with resilience that embrace the Navy’s Core Values of Honor, Courage and Commitment as well as embodying our Navy’s attributes of Integrity, Accountability, Initiative and Toughness.
Foundational Tenets
Honor - Prepare - Succeed – Influence
Honor: Be honest and truthful; make a choice to do the right thing and act faithfully and loyally.
Honor the Seabee legacy through competency, character, personal example and respect for all.
Foster an environment of pride, professionalism, teamwork, and dedication.
Be accountable for your actions and dedicated to taking care of each other, our people, our families, and ourselves.
Drive a culture of accountability throughout the organization through small unit leadership.
High standards are developed through discipline. Constantly reflect/demand our Navy’s high standards on/off duty.
Prepare: Be proactive and not reactive and never procrastinate.
Integrity is the bedrock of both trust and respect, earn these every day! Know the task and what is expected from you.
Stay current on DoD policies/programs/messages, and take ownership of the programs you are assigned.
Active communication up, down and across the command, to include external commands or outlets in everyday business.
Drive quality and ensure our people have everything needed to achieve it.
Commit to further both your personal and professional excellence through achieving sound body and mind.
Succeed: Lead the way with quality daily execution of your duties while minimizing all possible risks.
Take initiative and get the job done. Own the mission and operate to the limits of your authority.
Stand up for what is right; set the example and utilize Operational Risk Management in every evolution.
Be the best you can at your job; seek to increase effectiveness and take pride in developing our Sailors. Do not cut corners!
Strive for continuous improvement - Assess progress honestly and work to be better.
Achieve a good work / life balance. Strong family support is one of the main enablers of our success. Make time for them.
Influence: Continuously develop every individual, team, organization, and command.
Know safety, think safety and enforce safety. It is either safe…or it is not safe.
Render proper courtesies and maintain a squared away uniform appearance. You are a Navy Ambassador; set the bar!
Strengthen the Seabee legacy; develop and protect tomorrow’s 21st Century Sailor.
Strengthen and cultivate partnerships throughout the training environment.
Respect the views of others; voice your opinion and then support the decision.
