NOAA Emergency Notification System
The NOAA Emergency Notification System (ENS) tool allows NOAA to quickly broadcast emergency information to and take accountability of affected employees via phone, email, or text. ENS is NOAA's primary means of accountability on an organizational level. IN the event of a local, regional or national emergency, a message will be broadcast to the mobile number you provide in your NOAA Staff Directory listing. If in receipt of an ENS message, NOAA employees must reply as soon as possible to indicate their current status and then make contact with their local supervisor. If you are encounter an emergency situation and have not received an ENS message or you are within a Mandatory Evacuation Zone, use the Web Check-in and/or the Toll-free Call-in Number resources noted below to make contact. In addition to these reporting tools, there are additional resources available to provide assistance and promote understanding of the tools and processes during an incident.
