The college's breadth spans Humanities, Natural Sciences, and Social Sciences. As the academic cornerstone of Ohio University's transformative learning experience, the College of Arts & Sciences delivers foundational instruction for the entire university through its general education and liberal arts curriculum. It provides primary instruction for approximately one-third of the undergraduate majors on campus and accounts for half of the undergraduate credit hours on the Athens campus. The college also has rigorous graduate education with numerous master’s programs and nine doctoral degrees offered across eight departments.
