Even when I hate Lit, I can't help but love Lit.

It's like we were meant too have a Leap Day atheist wedding! We were a 99% match on a dating app and have been lucky in love ever since. When selecting a date we saw that 2/29/20 was a Saturday and knew that was the right date for us to take the Leap! We decided on a game night theme, as it's our favorite activity that we share with family and friends.

I've been spending some time looking at other atheist or agnostics weddings, and it's been amazing helpful to see what thoughts everyone has on an atheist or civil ceremony. It's led me to the conclusion that I am not a "party where we happen to get married" bride.

Our wedding ceremony was admittedly what some might call “aggressively atheist,” and my bridesmaids noticed that a few people looked...surprised? I think those who didn’t know us especially well expected we would do what our own parents did and go with something more standard and semi-religious.
