Here’s the process of applying the bedroom’s limewash paint by the talented @markcchamberlain assisted by @j_mcd 🥰 It takes 2-3 coats, applied by hand with big box brushes or splatter brushes. You can apply it in X & W strokes but Mark is more artisanal than that😉. I was drawn to the texture & movement of @portolapaints finishes- the lime is made from limestone so it has a suede-like stone texture. We chose the green shade Shelter to complement the warm Bellini sofa (Giancarlo reinforced my confidence in strong color choices 🎨). Admittedly I was hesitant about the grittiness of the sample, but seeing the end result proved worth the risk!
