Hiraya Design Studio restored and refurbished an ancestral Mangalore villa with traditional Chettinad elements, Athangudi tiles, and antiques sourced from across India.

As a home that has been in her family for years, this restoration by furniture designer Ariane Thakore Ginwala, in collaboration with architecture firm Field Atelier, is a heartfelt labour of love.

Asikkad House: This was a house designed by Benny Kuriakose few years ago in a village near Mayavaram. The house has many Chettinad architecture elements and mainly uses the columns recycled from old houses, which the client had already collected.
