Building a backyard sauna has been one of the most rewarding DIY projects I’ve ever undertaken. This sauna build features clear western red cedar walls, benching, bench skirts, and backrest. We built the floor with cedar deckboards. It has strip lighting on the backrest, a ceiling light and two lights outside of the sauna. It features a Finnleo Himalaya Rock Tower Heater and a SaunaLogic 2.0 Smart Control.

There are two common ways to pitch a sauna hot room floor to a drain. The bicycle spoke method and the Ben Square method. Either work great.
