    Experience: Student Teacher January 2013 Present Stephen Hempstead High School, Dubuque, Iowa United States History: 11th Grade st Utilized differentiated instruction through classroom management and 21 century skills. Designed, taught, and assessed National Council for the Social Studies (NCSS) standards over the early stages of the Cold War. World History: 10th Grade Team-taught frequently to craft a student centered, welcoming environment to help pupils develop a self-directed passion for learning. Planned a simulation on the assembly line to help coach students through the practice of multiple intelligences to keep them engrossed in the Industrial Revolution. Attended frequent Authentic Intellectual Work (AIW) seminars with cooperating teacher to train students to address the complex intellectual challenges they will face in the future.
    Pre-Student Teacher October 2012 December 2012 Cascade High School, Cascade, Iowa Developed student centered activities that incorporated the use of technology in a Geography classroom. Co-facilitated lessons in a suburban school where I worked one on one with each student to maximize higher orders of thinking and building pupil rapport. Pre-Student Teacher August 2011 December 2011 Wahlert Catholic High School, Dubuque, Iowa Co-taught advanced placed students in a Leadership class that emphasized the importance of community and the use of service in and out of the classroom. Guided students through constructed Question-Answer Relationship (QAR) questions on a daily basis to develop student understanding of the ethics in community leadership.

    Four year letter winner in shot put, discus, hammer, and weight throw at the NCAA Division III level. Played left/right tackle, center, and left/right guard at the NCAA Division III level.
