    The Fruit of Self-Control

    June 9- June 15, 2013

    Review the central truth, the memory verse, prayer and confessions, and read the Bible story with your child each day. As this is done, let your child color in or put a sticker on the power outlet located on the back of the devotional. At the end of the week please sign as proof of completion and return to the teacher. Children who complete 3 weeks Power Cords in a month will have their picture posted in the foyer of Power Source.

    God will help us keep our flesh under the control of our spirit.

    Father God, We honor you today. Thank you for your love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, meekness and selfcontrol. Thank you for protecting those I love. May they be strong in You and the power of Your might. Thank you for teaching me to obey my parents so things will go well with me and I will live a long life on the earth. Forgive me when I forget to put others first. Help me to tell others about Your great love! Thank you that because of Jesus, I am healed and whole. In Jesus Name,

    God chose Samson to rescue His people, the Israelites, from the mean Philistines. Samson was special and wasnt supposed to cut his hair. He became very strong. As he grew, he didnt use good self-control. He married an ungodly woman and often let his temper get out of control. Then he disobeyed God. He told a Philistine woman named Delilah that his strength was because of his long hair. She told the Philistines and they cut off all his hair, took his eyesight and threw him in prison. Judges 13-16 Phil. 4:7 I have the peace that passes all understanding and it guards my heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Eph. 5:2 I will walk in love, as Christ also has loved me.
