Den Chief
Den Chiefs work with a Den or Patrol of either Cub Scouts or Webelos. They assist with Den meetings, encourage Cub Scout Advancement, and serve as a role model for younger boys. Being a Den Chief is typically a multi-year commitment. Although it is not a rule, Den Chiefs are discouraged from holding another Troop leadership positions due to the amount of time they will need to spend as a Den Chief. Requirements: The SM assigns Den Chiefs Active status 12 years old or two years older than the boys he will Den Chief for Been with the Troop at least 12 months At least 1st class rank Specific Duties: Attend Den and Pack meetings. Assist in Cub Scouts achieving the Arrow of Light Award. Promotes our Boy Scouts and our Troop to Webelos crossing over. Sets a good example. Wears the uniform properly and to all Den, Pack, Troop meetings and activities. Lives by the scout oath and Law. The tenure of this position lasts until the Scouts Den crosses over into Boy Scouts. The Scout can only receive leadership credit towards rank advancement while his Den is active. They must also attend 50% of all Den and Pack meetings.
