    Currently learning how a foster care agency runs, shadowing on home visits, learning the
    policies and procedures involved in the licensing of foster homes, filing out required
    documents, and involved in the recruitment of foster parents. Will continue field
    placement until graduation from the BSW program.

    FIELD EDUCATION EXPECTIONS:


    I am looking forward to building my skills as a social work practitioner, gaining further
    competency to work with disadvantaged populations, especially at-risk youth. I would like to be
    able to learn from the guidance of a master-level social worker, gaining insight from their
    knowledge and practice experience. This includes how I can apply what I am learning from the
    classroom to real-life situations and consumers. I would like to strengthen my skills in
    interviewing and interacting with clients as well as understand more in-depth about my various
    roles as a social worker. I want to gain more experience with case-management, planning
    interventions, and group work. Through my field education I hope to gain the knowledge and
    insight I need to be prepared for my future career and utilize everything I learn to best help my
    clients and reach my highest potential as a practitioner.
