Hope that everyone had a
great summer. We are doing
great with perspective
members. I have the forms
for three women who have
attended one of our meetings
and another has requested
one. I also have heard from
a transfer member who is
moving to San Marcos in
August and will join us at our
September meeting at
Founder's Hall. This would
be a great meeting to bring a
friend and fellow educator as
Linda Hosaka and Mary
Gleisberg will be presenting
a program on their Service
Dogs and the organization
where they are members
and officers. We are a
friendly group and I know
that once people come and
see what we are all about,
they are inclined to want to
become a part of this
fabulous group. So, I will
have membership forms at
that meeting and would be
happy to mail, email, or even
deliver one to you if you have
someone who would love to
become a part of Beta Delta.
Enjoy the rest of August and

San Dieguito Methodist Church.
Linda Hosaka has arranged for
Laura Christianson and Mary
Gleisberg to tell us about
Therapy Dogs. how they are
selected, trained and how they
help people. Special guests will
be therapy dogs Prince and Kai.
Linda and Mary are Board
members for Love on a Leash.
Laura is a trainer with K9
Learning Center in Carlsbad,
with many years of experience as
a teacher and trainer. It should
be interesting and fun!
Just a reminder for our Teams
to the right is a list of the dates,
presentations and Chairs for
each month of the 2013-2014
program year. Chairs will want
to be in contact with Team
Members to plan for the
meeting. Each Team will also
meet briefly at the end of the
meeting prior to their assigned
month. Remember Chair
MUST attend her months
program!
It is important for each Team
member to participate. When
you are contacted about your
Teams month, step up. Each
Team member is expected to
provide a food item or monetary
contribution whether or not
you will be present at the
meeting. Support your Sisters!

Reflect the Light. You are doers, not just the participants.
Candles can stand alone to light the way. But when we
place candles before mirrors, the light will intensify and lights
the world.
Each of you are unique, special, and unrepeatable. You
possess a great gift of SELF, to give in being a Delta Kappa
Gamma member. Serenity, compassion, wholeness, the
ability to love are additional gifts you bring to DKG, at every
level of participation. In other words, YOU make GOOD
things Happen for Others.
Then, to Continue this Journey of Service, remember to keep
your Candles of Inspiration Lit and Reflect the way for Others
to Follow.
