    || shaaradaa praarthanaa ||
    namaste shaarade devee kaashmeerapuravaasini
    tvaamaham praarthaye nityam vidyaadaanam cha dehi me || 1 ||
    yaa shraddhaa dhaaraNaa medhaa vaagdevee vidhivallabhaa
    bhakta jihvaagra sadanaa shamaadi guNa daayinee || 2 ||
    namaami yaamineem naatha lekhaalankRuta kuntalaam
    bhavaaneem bhava santaapa nirvaapaNa sudhaanadeem || 3 ||
    bhadrakaaLyai namo nityam sarasvatyai namo nama:
    veda vedaanga vedaanta vidyaasthaanebhya eva cha || 4 ||
    brahmasvaroopaa paramaa jyotiroopaa sanaatanee
    sarva vidyaadhi devee yaa tasyai vaaNyai namo nama: || 5 ||
    yayaa vinaa jagatsarvam shashvajjeevanmrutam bhavet
    gnaanaadhidevee yaa tasyai sarasvatyai namo nama: || 6 ||
    yayaa vinaa jagatsarvam mooka munmatta vatsadaa
