Personal Philosophy !2
Contextual, strategic, achiever, competition, disciplinethese are my strengths as an
individual. I am a leader and I clearly understand that, I am not afraid of showing that nor
demonstrating it for that matter. That is who I am. I aspire to be one that motivates, develops, and
produces outstanding results by being an example of great work to all who surround me. In this
personal philosophy statement my objective is to present myself in a genuine and transparent
manner, because these are two values I live by. I will be discussing my skills, values and
characterthe very substance of the philosophy that makes up who I am, not only as a human
being, but as a professional and an achiever as a whole.
Objectives, aspirations, planning, structure, discipline, goal-setting, formulating
strategies, developing myself to be the very best in accessing the fulness of my potential, sounds
a bit overwhelming, in fact, it may intimidate some, and I may do so in a first meeting. However,
this is what I love doing, this is the euphoric sensation that is produced within me and only
projects more strongly as I serve not only my personal desires, but most importantly those that
surround me in the various spheres of life. My secret is utilizing my strength of discipline to
maintain focus on my goal. I never take my prize. I have learned the more I use my skills to
attain my objective the greater capacity I will have to benefit humanity.
Integrity, just, humane, resilient, mindful, and having pride in what I do. These are my
values. There never passes a day in which I remind myself of what potential I have and the
power to create, to inspire, to attain, to lift, to accomplish, and to find opportunities to serve my
fellow man. As previously stated, I am an achiever, I work for all that I have. I live by the motto,
earn everything you have and love it. Through this process of work and earn and live, I have
learned that the most important key to success is to be one with yourself. As there is balance in

my life and know that I control my life and most of the outcomes based on my choices.
Understanding this with such clarity and poise allows me to see the grander picture of my life
and who I am, why I behave the way I do and where I am heading towards.
Dedicated, hard-working, and visionary. I will argue and many will approve, you will
never find someone that portrays and exemplifies these three words that are so intertwined with
the persona of Daniel Mendez. This is my character, this the end result of years cultivating this
character so deep within me and the roots are strongly embedded. As life brought one challenge
after another, experience after experience, mistake after mistake, change and vision came into
place. I am not like most 22-year olds, I am different, I understand it very well. I capitalize on
this thought as I am taken into a continuum of vision and innovation within my own life.
My dream is to become a successful businessman and attorney. These two professions are
deeply embedded in my genealogy and blood. The desire and skills are within and have begun
unlocking them, placing the building blocks before me. In my fathers genealogy, the reputable
Mndez de Torres family you will find many lawyers and on my maternal side, the ilustrious
Camino family, you will find only businessmen, both known in Spain and Mexico for the three
character values I have previously mentioned.
Family is the center of my world, it because of my family that I am here today and I am
who I am today. All these values, principles, traditions and wonderful examples have shaped and
influenced me who I am and that have been passed down. My grandfather would inspire me and
motivate me a young child by saying, The world is in your hands, you control it and decide
what becomes of it. Growing up I never understood that, I thought he was full of himself, but in

my late teens and going into my early twenties I understood the true meaning of what he meant
years ago. It does not mean you will rule the world and become the wealthiest, most powerful
individualnor do I desire to become so, I am a bit humbleit does means you have the power
to control your world and all things that are in that sphere of influence. I will admit this is where
I get my confidence from, this very true principle. I have the power to decide who I become and
most importantly how I live my life. That is why I live life the way I do. I love it, I am proud of
it and live it everyday. I remind myself everyday and envision my future, I know I will each it
because I am one with myself and I have the capacity to so.
