Dragon, Dragon Fan Fiction

Directions: Your task is to re-imagine the climax, falling action, and resolution of Dragon, Dragon. You will write a new
ending to the story that has a new climax, new falling action, and a new resolution. You must include one of the following
types of plot twists. The rubric that will be used to grade the story is below.
Plot Twists
1. Red Herring: something that misleads or distracts from a relevant or important issue.
2. Deus ex machina: a plot device whereby a seemingly unsolvable problem is suddenly and abruptly resolved by the
contrived and unexpected intervention of some new event, character, ability or object.
3. Unreliable Narrator: a narrator, whether in literature, film, or theatre, whose credibility has been seriously
compromised.
4. Surprise Ending: a character isnt who you think they are.
5. Peripeteia: a sudden reversal of the protagonist's fortune, whether for good or ill, that emerges naturally from
the character's circumstances
* Yes, some of these types of plot twists are related and can be combined. Limit yourself to one major change in the
narrative and then follow it logically to the conclusion.
