Through the participation in these events, I learnt important skills which helped me to have a better understanding of the fashion industry. I
have also learnt the importance of mutual understanding of teamwork such as communication including both verbal and non-verbal
aspects, Sharing our knowledge, time, skills, respect, participating when making decisions when organizing major projects. The experience
of doll costume making live demonstration has helped me gain more confidence, allowing me to react fast in terms of creativity and also

helps me understanding more of how the factory system works in this fashion industry.

Duties include:
As one of the designer in Raffles Privato allowing me to be independent from designing to communication of the
marketing team. From the process of producing my own branding in Raffles Privato helps me understand more
about my target customers first then making every decision to proceed by producing sketches, designing, pattern
making, grading and sewing all by myself. I have also learnt how to calculate the price points to ensure that it
covers my investments and also a affordable price for my customers. During the process of producing, allowing
me to understand the importance of that workmanships and working with all different types of fabrics.

Gown design for Mediacorp artiste for Star Awards 2013 Red carpet
Duties include:
Understanding the requirements and advising on how to choose a suitable gown for the artiste
Produce designs and fabrics samples
Taking measurements
Produce paper pattern and sample for fittings
Machine sewing and hand sewing (beading and patches laces)
Prepare the whole look including accessories and suitable heels.
The work exposure allowing me to produce a statement piece to accentuate the artiste feminine silhouette,
featured hand beaded lace, crystals and pearls, giving a three-dimensional look that sparkled under the spotlight
and on camera. It took months of hard work and patience on my part to come up with for a grand event. I have
challenged my old habits and departed from my usual style, choosing instead on soft fabrics to produce a
feminine and sophisticated look for the artiste. Despite many trials and errors in the process of making, I believe
mistakes are the totals of discovery. I am satisfied with the final look of the final look of the gown and be it
negative or positive comments, I will accept them and continue to work hard and improve myself.

research on the latest trends, to be different and outstanding than the other publication. I have also learnt to put
the readers in priority, to give them the best and latest information on todays fashion. By writing and editing
improve my language and on how to attract the attention and entertaining them with the fullest information. I
have also improved my Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign to create attractive layouts of text and pictures for
publication. As for fashion styling, it allows me to understand the importance of interaction of the model and
