Listening (Cambridge exams)

Reading and writing

(Cambridge exams)

Listen and match.

Read and tick (4) or

cross (7).

The children listen and draw a line from each name to

the corresponding child.
Read out the rubric and explain to the class what
they have to do. Encourage them to first describe
the children in the pictures to a partner. Explain that
it is very important to draw clear, straight lines in
this activity. Play the recording and pause it as the
children draw the matching lines. At the end of the
activity, play the recording one more time without
pausing and ask the class to check their answers.

The
children
look at the pictures and read the
sentences. They tick the box if the sentence describes
the picture and put a cross if it does not. Read out the
rubric and explain to the class what they have to do.
Ask a child to read out the example and do number 2
as a class. Then allow the class to work on their own
to complete the activity. Check answers by asking
different children

to read out the sentences and say

tick or cross. Put a tick or a cross on the board as
they say the answer.
