Back in the early 1980s, I was looking for a way to
generate additional income to help support our family
farming operation. I decided to try my hand at painting
wildlife.
My success, in large part, was due to the support I
received from my buyers in Glasgow and the surrounding
communities. As a much younger, beginning artist, I
needed the encouragement that came with those sales
to pursue my artwork.
After thirty-two years of farming between Fort
Peck and Nashua, we sold our farm and moved to
southwestern Montana. The art lovers of the Glasgow
area had been consistent in purchasing my work for
all those years. I wanted them to know how much that
was appreciated. Therefore, I created the Glasgow Wild
Bunch Art Show.
This is an annual event in which I participate,
exhibiting my artwork. I also invite about a dozen
additional artists to show their creations to my friends
and collectors in the area. It has become a reunion
of sorts and a way for me to bring the people of

A strong cold frontal system will make its way
through the region Wednesday morning. Behind
this cold front, very strong northwest winds are
expected. Forecast speeds are in the 35-45 mph
for sustained winds with gusts as high as 65 mph!!
Remember, exercise extreme caution when driving
in these high wind conditions, and if you still have
any loose items sitting around outdoors, do your
best to secure them.
Looking at Glasgows National Weather Service
hourly graph, gusts of up to 55 mph are expected
to hit by 10:00 and increase from there before
dropping off to gusts of just under 50 mph about
the time most folks are getting off work at 5 or 5:30.
Gusts are expected to drop under 30 mph at around
5:00 Thursday morning.
Tonight: A chance of rain and snow showers after
11pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 30. South wind
11 to 21 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph. Chance
of precipitation is 30%. Little or no snow accumulation
expected.
Wednesday: A 20 percent chance of snow showers
before 11am. Partly sunny, with a high near 37 which
is expected around 1:00 and dropping to 30 degrees by
5:00. Windy, with a northwest wind 33 to 41 mph, with
gusts as high as 60 mph, making for some cold wind chill
factors throughout the day and into Thursday.
Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around
18. Windy, with a west northwest wind 31 to 36 mph
decreasing to 23 to 28 mph after midnight. Winds could
gust as high as 46 mph.
Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 32. West northwest
wind around 18 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph.
Thursday Night: A 20 percent chance of snow showers.
Partly cloudy, with a low around 18. North northwest

Please join The Wild Bunch in Celebrating their
15th Anniversary Fall Show beginning this Friday,
November 20th and continuing through Sunday,
November 22nd at the Cottonwood Inn in Glasgow.
The show features a talented group of artists that
specialize in varied media, including painting, bronze,
fused glass art, jewelry, metal art, and woodcarving. This
diverse assortment of art comes at extremely reasonable
prices. Not only is the show free to the public, it presents
a one-of-a-kind opportunity to meet the artists in
person.

Opening & Artists Reception is on Friday, November
20th from 5 to 9 p.m., continuing on Saturday from 10

The show has partnered with the local Soroptimist
Club and Thrift Shop, offering a Silent Auction that
features all artists to run throughout the show. 100% of
