    Video Game Genres

    MOBA
    Massively Online Battle Arena (MOBA) an example of this is would be DOTA 2, which also falls under Action and
    Strategy sub-genre. MOBA games require you fight other players in a battle arena. This can be played with your team
    mates or on your own. The battles normally take place with unique but fairly balanced players.

    Shooter
    An example of Shooter would be Call of Duty, which also falls under Action and First Person Shooter sub-genre.
    Shooter games consist of the element which requires the player to aim for an enemy, and normally kill them.

    RPG
    Role Playing Game (RPG) an example of this would be Runescape, which also falls under Action sub-genre. Role
    playing games normally are games which are set in the past, and consist of an element of role playing, and
    occasionally a form of leveling.

    RACING
    An example of a Racing game would be Grid, which also falls under the Simulation Sub-genre. A racing game
    involves a set of points that need to be reached, this can be against a time frame or other opponents.

    SIMULATION
    An example of a Simulation game would be Euro Truck Simulator, which also falls under the Adventure and Racing
    sub-genre. A simulation game main object is to immerse the player and make them think that they are doing
    something real like driving a car or train.

    ADVENTURE
    An example of an Adventure game would be The Walking Dead, which also falls under the action and Point and
    Click.

    ACTION
    An example of an Action game would be Tomb Raider, which also falls under the Adventure and Third Person
    Shooter sub-genre.

    STRATEGY
    An example of a Strategy game would be Age of Empires, which also falls under Real Time Strategy.

    INDIE
    An example of an Indie game would be Minecraft, which also falls under Adventure, First Person Shooter and Open
    World. Indie games consist of a game which was developed usually in a small team without a publisher.

    RTS
    An example of a Real Time Strategy game is 'Age of Empires', which also falls under Adventure and Strategy. RTS's
    usually have players or AI gather resources and then fight each other in a battle.
