    Aboriginal Education Consultant

    Vancouver School Board


    Worked directly with administrators and superintendent office when
    facilitating and planning training for staff.
    supervised and supported Enhancement teachers.
    Facilitated training for staff in schools along with students.
    Budgeted and worked on completing forms, documents connected to
    funding sources.
    Support students and school staff with cultural teachings and
    awareness training.
    Planned and facilitated many events with the school systems.
    Worked directly with administrators and superintendent office when
    facilitating and planning training.
    Professional Development
    1. Integrating aboriginal Content within the Classroom
    2. Embedding Indigenous Authors within the Curriculum
    Worked to support planning for Aboriginal training day which the
    guest speaker was National Chief Atleo. All schools were invited to
    listen to him speak over streaming in schools. I worked with our
    Assistant Superintendent to complete admin led workshops to
    follow his presentation.

    The positon also allowed to develop and create classroom
    resources for schools. To support staff, teachers and Indigenous
    students throughout the district.
