    NORMANHURST WEST PUBLIC SCHOOL

    BAND EXCURSION INFORMATION NOTE

    Dear Parent/Guardian,

    Approval has been given for the CONCERT BAND to perform at the Galston Eisteddfod on Friday 22nd October
    2010.

    PERFORMANCE FRIDAY 22nd OCTOBER 2010


    Transport: Bus
    Time: Bus will depart school 1.45pm for Galston Uniting Church to perform at
    3.15pm. NB: It is very important to arrive 1 hour before performance. The
    band will need to be warmed up prior to the performance and
    performance time cannot be guaranteed.

    The bus will return to school at approximately 4.15pm. As we will not be


    back in time for afternoon buses please make alternative arrangements for
    your child to be collected from school.
    Tickets: Entry to the Eisteddfod is free
    Parking: Free parking
    Additional Information: • Children are to wear full BAND UNIFORM. This includes black
    pants, black socks, black polished shoes and band shirt
    • Children to bring instruments and music folders.
    • If your child is unable to attend, please let Rachel or Linda know
    ASAP.
    • Please note completion time is approximate as festivals can run early or
    late.
    • Children will eat lunch at school before leaving, please pack afternoon
    tea for your child, together with a drink bottle (labelled).

    Children will be accompanied behind stage by Mr Ray Hampton (Conductor) along with Rachel Allen and Linda
    Stenning (Concert Band Co-Ordinators) and a staff member from NWPS.

    Eisteddfod on Friday 22nd October 2010. I understand that this excursion has the approval

    of the principal and that travel will be by bus.
