High
Miami Lakes Ed. Center and Hialeah High were recognized for their outstanding service projects over the summer. Barbara Goleman and Hialeah Gardens were congratulated for having a combined hour total of 2814 hours this summer. Ideas for first club meetings were given including providing food, smiling faces, and promoting all of the positives of being in Key Club. Ways to obtain and retain members were brainstormed including club socials and implementing FUN service projects to retain members and promoting Key Club with banners, making meeting announcements, and providing incentives to obtain members. Survivor Key Club has been moved to September 17th. All money must be given to Amanda as soon as possible BEFORE the event. All clubs were challenged to send at least one member to Key Leader on Dec. 2-4 for $175. 50/50 is a good way to provide financial assistance to that member. - All clubs should be having 2 service projects this month. - Summer Pride Reports due by the 10th of September. Club budgets must be made by treasurers and sent to Kiwanis Clubs by this month. I will be making club visits to all clubs between this month and next. If I have not spoken with your club about it please talk with me ASAP. It is MANDATORY for all officers to attend KCKC on September 24th at Hialeah Gardens High School!
