Can You Believe, Week 5!
On Friday, September 21, I will send home midterm progress reports since it will mark the half-way point through the first quartercan you believe that?! As always, dont hesitate to contact me at any time if you have any questions, concerns or thoughts on how to improve your childs school experience. The progress report will come home in an envelope that you should sign and return. This lets me know that you had the opportunity to review the progress report. You may keep the progress report itself for your records.

I will be finishing individual assessment with the children this week as well as starting our focus on Deedee deer. You can help your child to develop his/her pencil grip by monitoring the pincher fingersthe thumb and pointer finger. Look for activities that will strengthen the grip of these two fingers. For example, you can challenge your child to pick up small toys or finger foods using only the pincher fingers. If youre working with dough, have your child pinch off small pieces with those two fingers only. Even popping the bubbles in bubble wrap using those two fingers will achieve the same goal. Dont forget to continue looking for opportunities to reinforce distinguishing left from right with your child.

Were really cruising through the Bible stories. This week we will learn about Jacobs Ladder and Joseph in Slavery. These lessons give us the chance to reflect on how God keeps His promise to work all things for the good of those who love Him. In math we will explore the concepts of big, little, short and long. We will also begin working with graphing.
