A Quick Introduction...
Greetings parents! As you have heard, I will be working with your children this year. I graduated from the University of Regina, where I received a Bachelors degree in Arts Education. I look forward to sharing my ideas with your children, and engaging them through the arts. tionship with the families. Additionally, I am here to support you, the parents! My door is always open. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or just want to say Hi! Each month you will receive a monthly newsletter from me, so please take the time to review it for important dates, and information. It is also important to check your child's backpack daily, as I will be sending notes home on upcoming events such as color day, or Family Fridays.

Make puppets but don't stop there! There are so many activities that can go along with making the puppets. You can have your children create an original play or adapt a favourite story book. Remember, too--Children use puppets to say and do things that they may feel too inhibited to say or do themselves. Just as with all drama, you may be surprised when you see some of your 'shy children' doing well. They are NOT playing themselves, but playing someone else! Because of this, there may be a comfort level that is not often achieved. If you don't have a puppet theater--MAKE ONE from a large box or cloth draped over a table. Then... PRODUCE, PRACATICE, PERFORM! Family Day We look forward to spending these special days together, because it helps create a stronger community! Considering we have an open house/ family BBQ this month we will not be having a Family Friday. There is a lot going on in these first couple weeks, so I have decided to wait until October for our first Family Friday. I encourage all of you to come to the Meet the Staff night/ BBQ, which will be held on: September 20th from 5:oop.m 8:00 p.m. @ the school.
