    It is the apathy of the good people, which has brought us to this state. Let the youth and citizens come forward and pledge 1 HOUR TO THE NATION and VOLUNTEER FOR A BETTER INDIA. -Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

    e all feel a surge of emotion for our country when the Indian Tricolor is raised in the midst of Jana GanaMana at the Red Fort, or whenever we hear VandeMataram being sung or when the martyrs of Indian Freedom Struggle are being remembered at the India Gate. We all have that twinge of love and fervor for our country. But in the thick and thin of our daily life, we hardly give any thought to what we can do for this great Nation. And we do not know where, when and how to begin. Volunteer for a Better India (VFBI) is an Art of Living initiative for making a difference to our city, DelhiNCR, our Country and above all to ones self. It is a Citizens Action Plan. Old and young, rich and poor, urban and slum dwellers, school/college students, Corporate and Business Community, NGOs, RWAs, Hospitals, Leaders from Art, Culture, Music, Literature, Theatre all would be encouraged to give at least One Hour to The Nation! Over the next few weeks, under the campaign Give One Hour to the Nation several hundreds of sensitization and advocacy activities would be taken up involving lakhs of people around issues of Environment, Education, De-addiction, Girl Child and Womens Safety, Senior Citizens and Good Governance. Everyone would get an opportunity to participate in their own way and make a difference. We will be reaching out to almost 10 lakh school children through 1000+ schools and to almost 50,000+ youth through 200+ colleges. The Curtain Raiser event and the Press Conference are being held on 5th Dec. 2012 (International Volunteers Day) at Indian International Centre, New Delhi. The culmination will be a grand celebration on 17th February 2013 in the presence of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar with a cultural extravaganza of more than 2100 Hindustani classical singers singing patriotic songs and where lakhs of people across the country take a pledge to make a Better India. We invite you and your association to partner with us in full strength in the Give One Hour to the NationCampaign, Curtain Raiser event and the Grand Celebration.
