System Under Study

www.iitmelearning.com has been developed keeping in mind an organizations need. the implementation of an distance-learning solution should contribute to the success of education, becoming an effective complement or alternative to prudential classes and should assure synchronous and asynchronous collaboration with application sharing

between students and teachers. The institution wants a solution based on technology that allows the expansibility of the functionalities, the assurance of the level of availability, the importation, Exportation and integration of information with other applications already developed. In order to embrace this new educational/training approach and to implement the elearning component of the Project we propose a flexible implementation process which is divided in the following great phases: 1. Registration Phase. 2. Examination Phase. 3. E-learning Phase. 4. Library Management Phase.

5. Administration Phase. 6. Students Processing Phase. we try to use distance learning system as a mean to seek and catch new audiences for the eLearning education, showing to the public what is taught in these institutions, being not just a mean of teaching but also a way of spreading and sharing information and knowledge.

User Requirements
Basically users of this system are the students and administrator of the organization. The requirements of the student and administrator are as follows: Only authorized students can access the facilities provided by www.iitmelearning.com. If any student forgets his/her password, then he/she can recover it online. If a student or administrator at some later stage wants to change his/her password then he/she can do so. Students can maintain track of issued books, their mark sheet, course and registration process. Student can choose his/her examination time and date accordingly. Students can interact or communicate with faculty each other without having to visit each other via video conferencing and Chatting application (E-Learning Phase). They can view daily or upgraded information regarding examination, course, results etc.

To save the chat history, facility of message archive is there. Administrator manages passwords and website information i.e. updating and modification of relevant information.

Google search engine should provide students to browse data and information via websites to brush up their knowledge.

Establish Need of New System / Advantages

Can be used as a method in its own right or as a basis for eLearning system. Can cover a large number of students online. Wide geographic coverage. Relatively cheap. No prior arrangements are needed. helps in proper student, examination and administration management.

Objectives of the Project

This project is an effort to give a platform to those students who are not unable to take admission in regular full-time courses due their own personal reasons. So this distance learning solution help them to upgrade themselves and to educate themselves. This project guide the students towards the right direction along with the adequate related Information & Study Material. Thus, enlightens their bright future. The main objective behind the development of this project is to reduce the Overhead on distance learning students to an extent. The project uncovers all the related Information along with required Study Material for the students. This enables them to clear their doubts and even queries, which lets them to move forward with their respective academic study. They can view their marks, results and help them in enrolling themselves for particular examination and course of their choice Thus, the project expects to uncover all the related queries and provide the students all the required, adequate & useful Information. Moreover, it will enhance the learning and Information acquiring capability of the students which will brighten their future.

The main Characteristics of the project are a follows: The project enables the students to retrieve related Information & Study Material from it. It also serves & lets the students to have loads of Information of their interest, so that they can have their queries solved.

It helps the student to get register themselves and taking examination online. It helps students in viewing their examination results as well as their course results.

It helps them in viewing e-books and downloadable content via Online Library. this project helps administrator to keep track of information, security issues ,faculty allotment etc.

It is available to all the students regardless of the quantity of students. It is also Secure as no Information can be edited which is embedded in the project.

It is also portable as many projects of this type are available for the students. It is the Best source to provide Distance Learning.

For each build: Perform detailed design, implementation, integration, and test. Deliver to client

Maintenance Phase

1. Requirements Phase: First, requirements are determined and checked by the client and the members of the SQA group. 2. Specification Phase: Here, the specification for the product is drawn up, i.e., a document is produced stating what the product is to do. The specifications are now checked by the SQA group and then shown to the client. Once the client signs off on the specification document, the next step follows. 3. Architectural Design: In this phase, the architecture of the entire software is designed. The entire system is broken down into a number of builds, where a build consists of code pieces from various modules interacting together to provide a specific functional capability. 4. Perform Detailed Design, Implementation and Integration, Test , Build: The product is designed, implemented, integrated, and tested as a series of incremental builds. Once the builds are decided for the system, each build is designed, the code is implemented integrated with the other executable builds and tested to check if the for Each

integrated modules work together or not. The developer is free to break the target product into builds as he sees fit, subject only to the constraint that as each build is integrated into the existing software, the resulting product must be testable. 5. Operations Mode: At each stage of the incremental model, a new build is coded and then integrated into the structure that is tested as a whole. The process stops when the product achieves the target functionality, i.e., when the product satisfies its specifications. After this, the product is given to the client, who puts the product into the operational mode, i.e., running mode, by installing it. He keeps on using the so far delivered product, while waiting for the others to be completed. This phase is also called the maintenance phase. 6. Retirement: When the product is no longer in a state of usage, due to wear and tear or obsolescence, then it enters into a state of retirement. At each phase of requirements, specification and designing, the corresponding documents are verified for completeness, compatibility as well as unambiguity.

Data Required
Following are the data required for the given modules:1. Registration: I. Course Selection II. Payment mode III. User-id and Password generation. 2. Examination: I. Online examination. II. Result 3. E-learning:
