The Library is an active and integral partner with the students, faculty, and staff in these endeavors. Its staff develops, organizes, and manages the infrastructure, services, and access to knowledge, ideas, and information that are critical in a university dedicated to distinctive learning, outstanding teaching, and leading-edge research. The library serves and collaborates with a large and diverse community: first the student, faculty, and staff of BSU, and as resources allow, individuals and institutions throughout Bukidnon, Mindanao, Philippines, and the rest of the world. LIBRARY INFORMATION The University Library is housed in a four storey permanent building. It is located beside the Law Building. The Elementary School Library is located at the Elementary Building near the Principals Office. The Graduate School Library occupies the second floor of the Graduate School Building and is adjacent to the Office of the Dean of Graduates Studies. Reserve Section
Reserve Section is located in the second floor near the entrance door.
Reserved books are place in separate shelves where they are available on a restricted basis. These reading materials are on high demand, therefore, the purpose of the procedure is to ensure that every student has a fair chance of reading the materials put on reserved. General Circulation Section is located in the second floor far side corner from the entrance door. This section holds all books in subject areas for general and purpose readings. Internet Section is located in the second floor left side corner from the Entrance Door.
This sections provides 26 computers connected to a 1 Mbps Lease line from Globe-Innove. Students enjoy fast internet access at a fraction of the commercial rate. The internet facility utilizes Linux for its Operating System. Students need to log-in before they can use this facility. The Technical Room is located in second floor near the stairs leading to the 3rd floor. Its activities such as book classification, cataloging and encoding. For short informational facts, the users may find the general references conveniently arranged on book shelves. Materials include:

This section holds the local and foreign subscription of the university. Bound periodicals and loose issues are on the display shelves. another Library Card shall be subject to disciplinary action. Library Card should have an ID picture; the signature of the Librarian and owners signature. Library Card should be kept in the Library when books are borrowed until the books are returned. Be sure to get your Library Card before leaving the counter. Leave your things except valuables at the shelves provided for at the entrance.
Library Policies
1. Books in the General Circulation Section of the College, High School and Elementary Libraries can be borrowed within one (1) week. However, in the Graduate Library, books can be borrowed out for 3 days. 2. Reserve books will be available for library use and photocopy purpose only. 3. Books in the Filipiniana Section can be borrowed out for one (1) day.
4. New Students are required to attach a picture in their certificates of registration when their library cards are not yet available. 5. All students are required to use their Library Card when borrowing any library materials. 6. Any book lost or damaged while in loan must be reported immediately to where it was charged out. The borrower is given one week to retrieve the book but fines continue until it is confirmed that the book is no where to be found. Lost books should be replaced or paid in cash at their current prices. All payments should be done at the Cashier;s Office. Official receipts should then be submitted to the librarian. 7. Fines will be imposed to the Library users who have overdue books and other library materials. Php 8.00 per day - General Circulation Section Php 5.00 per hour - Reserve Section 8. Students who bring books without authorization are fined Php 50.00 for every offense. 9. Books and other library materials requested for photocopy outside the library are given 30 minutes to 1 hour time allotment only. Failure to returned the materials at the given time, the borrower will then be subjected for disciplinary action with a fine of Php 5.00 per hour for the books in the Reserve Section and Php 8.00 per hour at the General Circulation Section. 10. Faculty and Staff are allowed to borrow books or the subject they are teaching. However, borrowed books may be recalled anytime when these are needed in the Library. There are fines imposed if it is necessary. At the end of the semester, the faculty and staff are required to return all borrowed books. 11. Encyclopedias, magazines and other materials which are considered Rare Collection, are for inside reading only. However, you can request for photocopy within 30 minutes only. A fine of Php 5.00 per hour will be imposed for the failure to return the materials on the specified time. 12.) Students who shall mutilate or steal any library materials from the Library will be recommended for suspension. Repetition of such offense will be recommended for expulsion and/ or be deprived of the library services in the university. 13.) Outsiders who wish to avail of library services of the university will be charged Php.50.00 per day.
