For PDP context activation, the MS communicates with the BSS, SGSN, DNS, GGSN and optionally a RADIUS server to activate a PDP context, perform DNS queries to determine the GGSN IP address, create a PDP context and authenticate/authorize the request. For roaming, additional DNS queries are made through the GRX server to determine the roaming partner's GGSN IP address.
