Our Parish Church The name of our parish church is Saint gregory the great parish, It is located in Indang, Cavite . This parish church is under the diocese of Imus,Cavite . The head diocese is Most reverend Reynaldo Tirona. And the present parish priest of saint gregory the parish church is Rev Fr. Agustin M. baas. Its Patron saint is Saint Gregory the Great, and its feast day is on september 3. It was 1625 when the church was chosen as a town patron saint after it was separated from silang as one parish. 40 years in the making before they were classified differently towns. In the year 1672 to 1676 huge part of the church construction was finished by a hesuit priest, fr luis morales who probably made some interior design influences of church and finished 1707. the concent was completed in 1710. it was ruled by the diocese priest in 1768. the management was transferred to the dominican priest in 1891 under the validity of real order. the church was burnt last march 9 1848 during the war agianst the spaniards. In 1953 it was repaired under the direction of msgr. magno de leon. it was beautified by fr Cornelio G. Matanguihan in 1983.

The estimated number of catholics visiting this church as of 2013 is 49,500. Indang church interior design is very surprising. Two different religious order designs were present in one church, Jesuit's and Dominican's. Inside is a "pulpito", a platform raised from surrounding to give prominence to the priest before whenever he went there to preach. Jesuit saints only were carefully carved on it. Indang Church has its remarkable old rose-colored trompe loil paintings on the ceiling, its 18th century architecture and the very ancient convento with its wide windows and wrought iron work along the sides. The churchs patron saint is Saint Gregory the Great (San Gregorio Magno) and it sits on a well-defined and well-kept plaza at the end of the town. The Indang Church has kept its beautiful carved doors and choir loft balcony. Like many old churches, it has commemorative gravestones along the walls and some pillars dating from the turn of the century. Its traditional carved altar has three levels of niches for saints. Unfortunately, a heavy painting job has gone more for red with gold at the altar when echoing the old rose color of the ceiling would have been more charming. But indeed the church is well kept.

The mission and the vision of the diocese is maging sambayanang kristiyanong makadiyos, makatao, maka-buhay, makakalikasan, at

makabayan. Mga alagad ni Kristo at simbahan ng mga dukha na may pananagutan at pakikisangkot sa pinagbagong lipunan sa tulong ni irhen Maria del pilar.
